Motorola has come back superb Last year with some great devices under the hood and creating the success stories on the way. On the launch of Moto G, Motorola has confirmed that Moto g would be receiving the Kitkat update very soon. And after the Kitkat update 4.4.2, Motorola has given its Moto users reason to cheer, yes Android Kitkat update 4.4.4 has rolled out for globally and Indian users have received the update on 25^th July. Here I am going to tell you the major changes included in this update :

The Kitkat update 4.4.4 includes :

4. Motorola alert app is now available for Moto users
5. And minor bug fixes

The update includes the android’s latest platform version 4.4.4 .This update rolled out to fix the bugs and add more stability to the Moto g .As some Network drop out problems have been reported after the Kitkat update version 4.4.2 , so this update is meant to fix these bugs.

Updated Phone Dialler app

This update includes the all new dialer app, which I think is very similar to the new Android L material design concept. The dialer’s default keypad gets a minimal blue and white color combination with the caller icon on the middle as it was previously , which looks very decent and simple to operate.

Speed dial got thumbnails having pictures and various colors combinations as per contact details which we have seen in the recent Gmail update. Your contact list will get changed just like Gmail contacts having color thumb with starting letter of your name.  Now you don’t have to put pictures on every contacts you have which is also a good move by Google.

The Ability to pause the video recording

Finally Motorola has done something good by adding the support for pausing video while we record, which was available even in mid range Nokia devices. Ok now you don’t have to record another video, but now you can pause it which is really good for Moto camera lovers.

Enabled Motorola Alert App for Moto g

Motorola alert app, which is very useful app for the Moto users it uses your GPS location and sends alert information to your selected contacts in case of any emergency .Moto alert app was exclusive for the Moto e but now it got its hands on Moto g and Moto x too with this update. This app comes Pre - installed in this update so you have to download it form the play store.

So if you have made your mind to update here is quick guide to upgrade to the latest android version.

Note: Keep in mind that after upgrading to the latest android version it’s not possible to downgrade to the previous version.

Instructions:

If you have received the notification from Motorola for this update then you can go for this update download but make sure you have at least 50% battery and have a Wi-Fi network to accomplish the download.

1.  Select "Download".


2.  After the software is downloaded, select "Install now".


3.  After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.


4.  Your phone is now updated with 210.12.40

Manually update your phone:

1.   Select the Settings icon in the apps menu.

2.   Select "About phone".

3.   Select "System updates".

4.   Select "Download". After the software is downloaded, select "Install".

5.   After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.

6.  Your phone is now updated to 210.12.40
